THE COURIER, Minden, ERICSONS' OBSERVE '40TH' ANNIVERSARY Mr. and Mrs. Emil C. Ericson observed their Wedding Anniversary at an open house Sunday afternoon. Nov.

2, at the Axtell Presbyterian Church parlors. Gwendolyn Ericson, Chicago, and Mrs. Geraldier Ericson and Mr. and Mrs. Ericson were hosts.

A corsage of ruby red roses was worn by Mrs. Ericson and a boutonniere by Mr. Ericson. After the guest book was signed and the guests were seated by the ushers, Gerald and Knowlen Ericson, the following program, was announced by Gwendolyn: Anniversary song. Mrs.

The public, is invited to attend. Following the program classrooms will be open so those attending may view the classroom displays. Obituary Of C. Thompson, Sr. Charles Thompson, son of the late Mr.

a and Mrs. Hans Thompson, was born January 25, 1887 in Kearney County, Nebraska. After prolonged illness he departed from this life, November 8. 1958, at the Kearney Community Hospital at the age of 71 years. On the 19th day of June, in the year 1912, he was united in marriage to Nellie Jensen.

To this union two children were born: a son. Charles, of Minden; and a daughter, Fern, living at home. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Surviving him are his wife. two children, a nephew, Clifford Jensen.

Holdrege, whom they raised from infancy, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers. Nels, Kearney. Fred. Roseland, and Peter of Minden, also two sisters. Mrs.

Frank Wratten, Bladen, and Mrs. Charles Duval, Inavale, and many relatives and friends. He was a kind and loving husband and father and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Funeral services were held at the Layton Funeral 'Home Monday afternoon, Nov. 10, with the Rev.

Eugene Armstrong was born in Broken Bow. He attended high school there and competed against Loren. Kuper's football teams in 1952-53-54. Mr. Armstrong attended Nebraska State Teachers College.

Kearney, where he majored in Physical Education and minored in Biological Science. He also has a background of vocal music. He participated in three sports where he earned 12 letters. four in each of football, basketball and track. Mr.

Armstrong plaved on the 1956 conference winning football team where he was also selected allconference end. He was ber of the Phi Phi Phi Fraternity, and was moderator the newly organized college Presbyterian Students League. Mr. Armstrong is. coach of Junior High Athletics and teaches Science.
